Family Resources and Library

We understand that what is helpful for one family might also benefit many more, but also recognize that each situation is different. Based on this understanding, we maintain up to date resources in the many areas your family indicates you need information.  We keep paper copies in our files, display them in our center resource area and share some of them with you on this website.  Some examples of categories of information are education rights and information, SSI, MassHealth, Housing, planning for the future, protections like guardianship and other options, and transition.

We also have books available to you to check out in our center resource library.

We can assist you to locate funding sources in the community that may help you with some of your identified priorities for your family member.

We utilize regular mail, email and other social media to share events and important information, as well as post copies in our center resource area.

As of July 2026, we maintain an Assistive Technology Lending Library for families actively connected to Family Empowerment. Items can be borrowed to trial before purchasing from a retail outlet. Please contact us at familyempowerment@servicenet.org for more information and a list of available items.
